I don't get the region code '2' on the screen, I tried all types of timings with entering '9' right after entering 'STOP'57538 Maybe it's because I have firmware 1013, don't really know.

I also saw another post for the same player with completely different approach but no luck either. Please help if you think there are any further intricacies in entering the code and 9 at the right time and free the darn thing. Are there any people who can easily hack it physically and make the BD player also free? Also, do you know any ways you can implant apps from other regions (especially US) into the player?
