As we can all clearly see, Facebook has rolled out yet another look for pages such as this. Certainly removes the need to account for the mortised photo when designing a splash for the top — and makes us glad we held off on designing that APBA football card compatibility chart we've been meaning to post.

☰ MAIN MENU SPOOKY'S HOBBY SHOP APBA FOOTBALL Complete Game 1975 Season Cards Included APBA has been producing statistical replay games since the 1950's and is acknowledged by most to be the father of all modern replay games. The football game first came out in 1958.

These games are very detailed and highly realistic yet they are flexible enough to allow you to play at the level of complexity with which you are most comfortable. There have been numerous changes to the game over the years and you should be aware that not all cards sets are 100% compatible with all editions of the game. This is just my opinion of course but I consider the 'red box' edition of the game to be superior to any of the later issues put out by the company.

Once you get the hang of where everything is located on the charts the game flows very nicely. I find that the newer 'book' format for the charts slows things down quite a bit. This listing is for a complete set of game parts. It includes all the components you need to play this edition the game.

The card set is overall in VERY GOOD-EXCELLENT condition. This is a complete set of player cards based on the 1975 season stats (issued in 1977) consisting of 30 cards per team. The set includes no XFs but does include the original roster sheet (plus the XFs roster sheet). These are the original vintage cut cards on quality card stock (not the new thin stock versions). I have inventoried and inspected the cards and every card has been accounted for. For the most part they are lightly used but the cards of a couple teams (BUFFALO and PITTSBURGH) have suffered some staining. I would grade them 6-7 on a 10 scale (see condition guide below).

The envelopes are in EXCELLENT condition. They are in great shape with no tears or stains.

I would grade them 7-8 on a 10 scale (see condition guide below). The other game parts are in VERY GOOD condition. The game is 100% complete with all of the game components accounted for. The field has numerous small stains (foxing) and the boards have the same to a lesser degree. The play selection cards show typical wear from use. Only one original red scoresheet remains but there are a number of photocopies included.

Overall I would grade the game parts 5-6 on a 10 scale (see condition guide below). The game box is in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition. Crysis Typical condition for this game.

Some splits (these were mended with duct tape) and some rubbing. Basically intact. I would grade it a 4 on a 10 scale (see condition guide below).

SOLD OUT Do you know that sinking feeling when you are in the middle of replaying a season or sequence of games only to find that the card for one of the key players is missing? Well I have thoroughly inventoried this set and compared it to the roster list so you can be assured that you won't get that feeling while playing with this set. I am not of the opinion that a simple card count will do. The sets often came with missing or duplicate cards from the factory, and who knows what the original owner may have done with them in the course of playing with them. Be sure to ask your card seller if they have in fact verified that the card set is complete by comparing it to the original roster list.
